New Cover A Letter For My Daughters

New Cover A Letter For My Daughters

Part of the writing thing is to choose a cover and the graphics for my book.  The title changed over the course of the years or so and the the cover may change from what it is now but it is an interesting exercise and one that has to be done with some care.

My other book "The Kiss of the King Brown" is an adventure novel set in 1955 about a young boy, his family and an Aboriginal Elder in a small town in the Riverina. I think it would be a great read for young people, women and anybody  looking for an insight in to what makes people of that generation tick. It also would give people an insight into the spiritual and cultural mores of the indigenous culture and how it was impacted by a vigorous aggressive dynamic other culture imposed on it. At the same time being an enjoyable read with a great story. I am not sure the cover does it justice and may even scare some potential readers off. (The cover is up on the left)

This is why I have to go carefully with the cover of "Daughters" a non fiction book aimed at young girls and women who are looking for an insight into the important things that will impact on them their live and futures. Love, Sex, Males, Relationships, Themselves, Future, Religion, God, through the prism of a father who has brought up four daughters.

Does this cover do it?
I liked it immediately because it is emotional and compelling to look at, but is it the right look for this type of book?
There are some simple grammar and words I have already suggested to be changed but it is the overall design and picture I am looking at.

Time will tell!
