Diary Of a King (Queen) Day 2
Being crowned a King is not something I ever thought I would do! But then I probably never ever thought I would live in Kyneton when I was twenty years of age and drove through it on my weekends off in the old EK Holden to visit my then future Queen Maureen in Bendigo from my job in Melbourne at that time.(1972/4)There was a small but distinguished gathering for our crowning the Prince and Princesses were crowned as well. Don't you love the innocence and enthusiasm of children around twelve or so? They remind me of little shells on the beach washing in and out with the waves. Pulled by forces way beyond their imaginings, unpretentious always moving and when looking at them care fully you always get much more then you ever expected.
Maureen and I did our little speeches we had a dance and a chat came home at around eleven tired more from the tension of the unexpected rather then the fatigue of socialising. Then appropriately we watched two episodes of Game of Thrones to let go of the tension and catch up on a few potential strategies before heading to bed late.
Thankyou KYNETON.
PS: Thank You to Janice, Katy George , Josef and Marlee for being our with us they are certainly Royalty.
PSS: Kyneton is short for Kings Town Quite appropriate really.
