Two Little Things
It’s amazing how little things can turn around your day or
week, I had two this week. If you think about it there is always something that
makes you smile, lifts your spirits or inspires you. Sometimes you just have to take
the time to notice them!
First One
A friend posted a picture of my book on Facebook; (Kiss of
the King Brown) it had been displayed along with others in the front foyer of
the local library as part of an Australiana display. It’s always nice to see
something you have created being useful and used. Maybe it even helped or inspired
someone or they might just have enjoyed the read. Who knows but maybe it is
just good for my ego, either way it felt good.

Second One
I have loved lemons all my life as a boy I would eat them
raw or with a coating of sugar. I put them on a lot of my food. We live in
Kyneton a beautiful and wonderful place to live. But alas not a place that
lemons love, the coldness and frosts are anathema to them. I have done many
things in Kyneton but growing a successful lemon tree had not been one of them.
I have killed four of them in my endeavours to grow one.
Taste a lemon, read a book. That's what life is all about.
