Writers Workshop

With authorship comes responsibility. I had suggested to Eric and Margaret Derricot that we run a Writers Workshop as part of the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival. They have taken me up on it so I am looking for writers and anyone else interested in the Book industry.

It is proposed to conduct a Writers Workshop as a part of the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival. Please find below the details:

Time:                     0900hrs-1600hrs                              

Participants:       Published Authors/Editors/Publishers

Action:                  The workshop will take the form of writers talking and engaging festival attendees in the art and craft of writing, and the publishing and production of books. Individual writers/editors/publishers will give talks on their writing or activities at various scheduled times.     

                                Writers will have the opportunity to set up a booth to explain/ display/ sell their books.

Outcome/Goal:                                To educate/inform writers’ potential writers in their craft.

                                                To inform the public of local authors/editors.

                                                 Interaction of authors/publishers/editors.

                                                To add another art activity to enhance the Daffodil and Arts festival.
