Why Do Women Have Such Large Breasts?

 

Why do women have breasts which are quite large for their stature, when smaller mostly hidden breasts would be adequate with the onset of conception being the trigger for their activation and enlargement as is the case in all other mammals? Breast tissue is mostly fat small breasts are just as efficient as big breasts. Women are the only primates with sizable breasts to body size on a permanent basis! Men are the only primates fascinated by breasts on a permanent basis! Lactation is their primary function, right? Wrong, they are also :

 An attractant for males!

A way to differentiate the sexes,

A way for male and female bonding.

 Breasts firm, large and symmetrically are a sign to men that the women who owns them is

fertile and a good chance to produce healthy off spring.  We are bi pods, breasts are

prominent sexual markers to differentiate the sexes, baboons who

are quadrupeds have prominent buttocks to signal sexual differentiation and arousal. The

male’s main role in evolutionary terms is to impregnate as many females as he can and to

pass on as many of his genes as he can. Large breasts are a sign along with others to the

man that the women is fertile and healthy, they are a deception and a very effective one.
 
Only females in the reproductive range or age puberty to age 38 years approximately

accumulate fat in their breasts, and hips rather then in other areas liker their stomach and

limbs as do older women.

Large symmetrical well shaped breasts indicate that the woman can bear children and support them. Because humans have sex in the frontal position (Missionary) a very rare occurrence in the animal world, the breasts are a primary way that the male can induce and arouse the female into copulating and also bring enjoyment to her and him. When you fondle and touch a woman’s breasts especially her nipples you stimulate the biggest sex organ in her body. (The Brain) The brain releases oxytocins and dopamine into her body which are akin to an opiate it will bring immense pleasure to an aroused female and strengthens the bond with her partner (Larry Young)[i] Along with everything else you are doing she will be much more willing to accept your sperm into her.  But more then that; the stimulating of her breasts forms an attachment between partners very similar to one between a mother and her baby. The long term attachment so essential for humans as the time spent in raising progeny is the longest in the animal world and has to be undertaken by both partners doing their roles.

Does your average male know this as he ogles the petty girl waking past, the centre fold or
the glossy girly magazine? Off course not. Next time you are caught staring at a women’s

breasts fellas’ do not feel to bad about it is natural attraction but then again I would not

make a habit of it cultural mores a large determinant of behaviour and although it may be

natural it may not be right.

Remember in evolutionary terms women are the way they are because that is how men

wanted them to be and men are the way they are because that is how women wanted them

to be. That is how natural selection works.
